They’re all powerful, but there are some drawbacks in the B-note, as either the memory (Asus, MSI) or the voltage converters (Zotac) aren’t directly contacted by the GPU cooling block, and the backplates are only half-heartedly installed – only MSI understands that a metal plate on the back requires heat conduction pads in order to be cooling-friendly.
The PNY XLR8 OC, Nvidia Founders Edition, and Zotac Mini, the remaining test subjects, cater to a different demographic.
These firms depend on dual-slot designs since not every game PC has capacity for overflowing triple-slot portions.
Nvidia is in the center; the dual-ventilated cooler is unobtrusive in every dimension, making it suitable with any case (and leaves a great impression haptically).
Meanwhile, PNY adds a third fan to try to improve cooling performance.
